The Homework Club Programme gives Queen’s University volunteers the chance to provide homework support to children and young people who live in areas of educational underachievement. These pupils may not have the opportunity to complete their homework at home which can lead to underachieving in school, low confidence and limited future opportunities.
We are looking for 2 volunteer co-ordinators to run a homework club for the children who live in Camberley House, either 1 or 2 nights a week, for approximately 2 hours. This would consist of helping children do their homework.
As a Homework Club Volunteer you would provide additional learning support to students with their homework, outside of normal school hours. Some of these students come from refugee and migrant backgrounds and may have limited access to homework help at home.
Zest Online Homework Club Volunteer. As an Online Homework Club Volunteer, you will provide learning support for children via video chat. Either 1-2-1 or in small groups you will help children of different ages continue to learn while they are unable to go to school.
Students attending homework club requires assistance in a range of subject areas, including maths, English, science, research and essay writing. Tutors are required to provide one-on-one tutoring to students in specific subject.. Responsibilities: Provide educational assistance to students with their homework and assignments.
